Summer is coming – and so is Clapboard Kids filmmaking camp!
During each one-week session, students will work collaboratively with an award-winning filmmaker through the stages of filmmaking – from the creation of an original film idea, through to the planning, shooting and editing of their very own short films. This will give students the opportunity to try out a variety of filmmaking roles and skills (e.g. screenwriting, directing, acting, editing, wardrobe, set design, sound and cinematography).
Participants will explore various filmmaking techniques to help them create their one-of-a-kind films. Techniques will range from stop-motion animation and claymation, to basic special effects and live action filmmaking. Students will edit their productions using iMovie. All technical equipment, props, costumes and set pieces are supplied.
Along with making movies, the camp day will also include a variety of arts and crafts activities, as well as outdoor fun and games!
At the end of the session, each student will receive a copy of their finished films to share with family and friends.
Our goal at Clapboard Kids is to inspire and guide the next generation of digital storytellers and filmmakers!
